The ONE IV Product Solution

One IV Solutions has developed a novel, circumferentially-mounted catheter dressing system that is intended to fundamentally change the form and function of the traditional PIVC dressing, as well as the method by which this dressing is placed.

It is the first catheter technology designed to fully and durably seal the catheter and its insertion site against outside contamination, and stabilizes and secures the catheter. The dressing is designed to allow placement in a rapid, intuitive, user-friendly, highly reproducible, and cost-efficient manner.

The result is a durably protected, fully sealed, stabilized, and secured IV catheter - rapidly and correctly placed, every time.

The One IV Dressing

At One IV Solutions we believe that simplicity is the ultimate marker of the correct solution to any problem set, and that thoughtful integration of form and function is the best way to achieve simplicity. Guided by this principle, and following an in-depth analysis of the clinical and mechanical factors contributing to PIVC failure, the team at One IV Solutions is proud to introduce its groundbreaking yet elegantly simple solution: the One IV Solutions integrated catheter-dressing technology.

The Seal

A 360-Degree Circumferential Seal

The  One IV dressing is a fully integrated PIVC dressing system that creates a durable, 360-degree circumferential seal around every PIVC. This seal effectively protects the catheter from external contamination while also providing natural, automatic stabilization and securement of the PIVC. By addressing the two most critical and consistently under-addressed causes of PIVC failure—contamination and movement-related trauma—the One IV dressing transforms the standard of care for PIVC management.

The Application

Innovatively Simple

Equally innovative is the new integrated approach to dressing application: circumferential over-the-catheter mounting. This technique, like the One IV dressing itself, is designed for simplicity, ensuring the placement process is fast, easy, and highly reproducible. The result is a system that enables optimal placement of  a dressing sealed to the skin and tubing every time, elevating both efficiency and reliability in PIVC care.

"This technology shows immense promise for patient safety. Since the demonstration, I have looked specifically at the 'gap' between the dressing and the skin at the inflection point where the catheter exits the dressing. These gaps are sometimes enormous!  I'm excited at the potential for increasing patient safety and reducing clinical frustrations."

Intended Benefits of the One IV Solution

360-Degree Seals
  • Provides two durable, circumferential seals (skin and tubing) around every catheter

  • Consistently isolates catheter site from outside environment.  If sterile, stays sterile.

  • Holds vacuum or air pressure in test

Full Stabilization
  • Fully stabilizes the catheter, preventing movement and reducing the risk of dislodgement.

  • Integrated stabilization: Not optional or variable with taping, etc

Streamlined Bedside Setup
  • Eliminates the need to gather multiple separate components, kitting opportunity

  • Reduces awkward one-handed steps currently needed for dressing application.

  • Facilitates transition to sterile PIVC placement using sterile gloves / sterile field

Simple, Intuitive, Accessible Application
  • Features an intuitive method of use that is easy to learn and perform, even for novices

  • Enables a broad range of caregivers to apply the dressing correctly and consistently

  • No need for specialized training, making high-quality PIVC care accessible to more staff.

Reduction in the Rate of PIVC Failure & its Sequelae
  • Expected to reduce the incidence of PIVC failure and the need for re-starts.

  • Decreases the incidence of PIVC failure-related complications.

  • Improves the patient experience by decreasing anxiety, pain, suffering, and death.

Cost and Resource Efficiency
  • Streamlines application, reducing both material and labor costs over time.

  • Minimizes the need for specialized training, saving on training expenses.

  • Decreases the rate of PIVC failure, restarts and related cost burden
